Yes. All objects at 1stbuddha are carefully selected and individually assessed. We do not sell modern replicas or mass-produced decorative items.
How old are the Buddha statues and objects?
The age varies by object. Where possible, we provide a dating based on style, material, and experience. With antique objects, a margin always remains realistic.
Are the objects supplied with documentation?
Additional information is available for many objects. If you have specific questions or would like extra explanation or photos, you can always contact us.
Where are orders shipped from?
Orders are processed and shipped from The Netherlands. Returns are also handled in the Netherlands.
Where is 1stbuddha located?
The company is legally registered in Estonia. The management and daily operations are Dutch.
Do you ship within Europe?
Yes, we ship within the Netherlands and Europe. Shipping is done carefully and professionally packaged.
Can I reserve an item?
In some cases, reservation is possible. Please contact us regarding this.
Can I return an item?
Yes. You have the right to return a purchase within the statutory period. Please contact us in advance for clear coordination.
Are the photos representative?
Yes. The photos shown are of the actual item you will receive. We do not enhance or manipulate images.

Consider the available space, the material, the origin, and the atmosphere you are looking for. Seated figures create a calm focal point; standing figures work well in higher entrance halls or open spaces.
Authenticity & documentation
With every Buddha statue, you will receive documentation detailing the specified period, the material, and any available provenance information, along with our certificate of authenticity.
We examine the surface, the casting, and the wear before attributing an object. Our research guide The Anatomy of the Buddha explains the methods.
Shipping & delivery
Orders are packed per item and shipped internationally with insurance.
Rare and valuable items can be delivered by a personal courier. Please ask customer service about the options for your item.

Return
Yes, within 14 days. We will arrange the export documents for you. Please contact us before sending a return.

Maintenance & presentation
Only if the product is expressly described as suitable for outdoor use. Wooden, lacquered, painted, and gilded antiques should remain indoors.
