Terms and Conditions
1. General
These Terms and Conditions apply to orders and purchases made through the 1stBuddha online store. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
2. Products
We describe and photograph each object as accurately as reasonably possible. Antique, pre-owned and handmade objects can show age-related wear, patina, repairs, variations and other characteristics described in the listing. Such disclosed characteristics do not by themselves constitute a defect. This does not limit any mandatory rights relating to goods that are defective or materially not as described.
3. Prices and Payment
Prices are shown in the currency presented to the customer and include taxes where applicable unless stated otherwise. Any delivery or additional charges are shown before the order is concluded where required. Full payment must be received before dispatch unless another arrangement has been agreed in writing.
4. Shipping
Orders are carefully packed and shipped using suitable transport services. Delivery estimates can vary by destination, customs procedures and carrier performance. Any mandatory rights relating to delivery, transport damage or risk during delivery remain unaffected.
5. Returns and Right of Withdrawal
We offer a commercial 14-day return period for eligible consumer purchases, but statutory withdrawal and refund rules differ by jurisdiction. EU consumers and UK consumers may have statutory distance-selling cancellation rights, including rules concerning standard outbound delivery costs and return costs. Customers outside the EU and UK receive our commercial 14-day return period unless mandatory local law provides different or additional rights.
For change-of-mind returns outside the EU and UK, original international outbound shipping and return-related customs or brokerage charges are not refundable unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Return shipping is borne by the buyer where permitted and properly disclosed. A reduced or negotiated price does not by itself remove statutory consumer rights.

6. Refunds and Damaged Deliveries
Refunds are made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed and are processed in accordance with applicable law. Damage, defects, incorrect delivery or a material discrepancy from the product description are handled separately from change-of-mind returns. Customers should notify us as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of delivery, to support carrier and insurance claims; this request does not limit mandatory statutory rights.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1stBuddha is not liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
8. Intellectual Property
Texts, photographs, graphics and other content published on this website are owned by 1stBuddha or the relevant rights holders and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. They may not be reproduced or distributed without permission except where the law permits.
9. Governing Law
To the extent a choice of law is legally permitted, contracts are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). This choice of law does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections that would apply in the absence of that choice, including mandatory protections in the consumer's country of habitual residence where applicable.
