Japanese Satsuma Set of Three Vases
An elegant Japanese Satsuma set for those seeking an interior piece with sophistication, warmth, and a classic appearance. This three-piece set consists of one larger vase and two smaller matching vases, richly decorated with traditional Japanese scenes, gold accents, and the characteristic ivory-colored crackle glaze.
The depiction featuring geishas, a landscape, and Mount Fuji immediately gives the set a recognizable Japanese atmosphere. Thanks to the combination of hand-painted details, raised enamel, and gold-colored accents, this set works particularly well on a sideboard, mantelpiece, display cabinet, or as a symmetrical decorative ensemble in a classic or eclectic interior. The underside bears the well-known cross mark associated with Satsuma ceramics and the Shimazu tradition. There are also old inventory numbers present, giving the impression that the set was part of a private collection for a considerable period.
With its rich decoration and subdued color scheme, this set is not only visually striking but also appealing to enthusiasts of Japanese arts and crafts, ceramics, and historical interior pieces.
