Rare Trimukha Maheshvara
This imposing bronze statue (36 cm, 4.3 kg) depicts Trimukha Maheshvara, a powerful manifestation of Shiva as the 'Great Lord'. The object, dating from the late 17th to 18th century, is a rare example of Brahmin influences within Southeast Asian casting art. The three faces symbolize the deity's omniscience regarding creation, preservation, and destruction. What makes this piece truly unique are the traces of ritual history found under the microscope and the unmistakable craftsmanship of the master caster.

Forensic Investigation
Casting method & Core: Forensic examination has demonstrated the presence of an oxidized iron chaplet (core support) and original charred casting core grit. This confirms the traditional 18th-century cire perdue construction.
Patina & Residues: Microscopic analysis reveals deep, mineral crystallization of the verdigris patina. Traces of original fire gilding were found in the pores of the metal. Natural wear at the edges exposes the high-tin bronze, attesting to the superior alloy used for this ritual object.
