Loro Blonyo: A Masterful Javanese Wedding Couple

Enrich your interior with the mystical and serene beauty of this hand-carved Javanese Loro Blonyo set. This "inseparable pair" symbolizes harmony, prosperity, and marital happiness. In Javanese culture, they represent the fertility goddess Dewi Sri and her partner Raden Sadono.

A Visual Masterpiece

What immediately stands out about this set is its incredible aesthetic appeal. The faces are painted with remarkable expression and sensitivity, giving the figures an almost lifelike quality. The warm, beautifully aged polychrome finish — combined with the later-added metal ornaments and sparkling rhinestone details — gives the pair a royal, majestic appearance.

Unique Craftsmanship

Both figures are hand-carved from solid wood. The male figure wears the traditional kuluk (ceremonial headdress) and carries the sacred kris on his back. The female figure radiates a timeless, graceful tranquility. The metal accents create a beautiful contrast with the wood and make this pair a unique and eclectic work of art.
