Estimated value: €1,200 – €1,800.
This antique bronze offering bowl with lid is a ritual temple object from the Buddhist tradition of Southeast Asia, likely Thailand or Laos, 19th century. The bowl is richly decorated with stylized stupa and floral motifs and features attached handles. The separately cast lid is crowned by a Naga figure, a symbol of protection and cosmic order.
The interior contains original ritual remains such as ash and burnt materials, indicating actual religious use. The surface displays a natural, uneven patina with wear and tear, consistent with a long-standing temple context. No modern finish or decorative reuse.
